About Me
I am a California-licensed dentist and proud alumna of the University of Southern California Herman Ostrow School of Dentistry, where I earned my Doctor of Dental Surgery in 2014. My career spans clinical practice, insurance medicine, and community oral health, driven by a commitment to ensuring patients receive the highest standard of care — whether in the operatory or through the lens of benefits review.
As a dental reviewer for Cigna, I apply rigorous clinical judgment to insurance claims and utilization management, advocating for evidence-based treatment decisions at scale. This work complements my hands-on clinical background and deepens my understanding of the intersection between dentistry and healthcare systems.
As Director of Oral Health at Big Smiles, I lead the delivery of preventive and restorative dental services to underserved school-age populations across California — partnering with school districts including LAUSD to close the oral health equity gap.
Beyond the clinic, I am an active advocate for children's healthcare policy. I lobby in support of California's Proposition 56, which funds Medi-Cal dental and medical services for low-income children and families. I am also a proud member of the Hands Off Children's Health Coalition, a grassroots effort dedicated to protecting and expanding children's access to essential health services across California.
I am also at the forefront of dental technology adoption, having worked directly with both Overjet and Pearl — two of the leading artificial intelligence platforms in dentistry. From AI-assisted radiographic analysis to intelligent claims review, I bring a clinician's perspective to the integration of technology in modern dental practice.
